Neuromuscular Therapy

Neuromuscular Therapy

A form of soft tissue massage that aims to alleviate chronic muscle and nervous system disorders and problems. It is mainly used to help alleviate trigger points, improve circulation, reduce  nerve compression discomfort, restore postural distortions and repair injuries due to repetitive movements.

Deep Tissue Massage
This modality targets chronic tension in muscles that lie deep to outer tissue. Techniques involve slow strokes, direct pressure, or friction movements that go across the muscle fiber.

Aroma Therapy Massage
A Specific type of therapy that incorporates the use of pure essential oils. The oils used can be relaxing or invigorating depending on the client's preference. The benefits of essential oils are;  reduce stress, anxiety , decrease muscle tension, and decrease symptoms of depression.

Swedish Massage
Involves long, kneading strokes combined with rhythmic tapping strokes and movement of the joints. This type of massage targets the uppermost layer of muscles and aims to relieve muscle tension. Swedish Massage can reduce stress, increase flexibility, improve posture and improve blood circulation.

Hot Stone Massage
My Pohaku or hot stone massage is the Hawaiian method. I heat the stones and massage with them. The soothing heat from the basalt rocks alleviate muscle tension, improves circulation, and promotes a sense of overall well being.

Lomi-Lomi Massage
E lomilomi i ke kino, i maika’i ke ola means massage the body to have good health. The word Lomi Lomi translates  ” to knead”. The smooth flow of strokes mimics the waves of the ocean and can be a divine transformation within you . I am a graduate of  traditional Lomi Lomi on Maui , taught by a Kahuna or healer. In Lomi Lomi we use our forearms to relax the muscles , the long flowing strokes can be from your foot to head. This massage has very tranquil benefits as I incorporate hula dance along with old hawaiian music. Visit Hawaii with me today and promote blood circulation throughout your body.
